Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
1. Who We Are
Padel Island Armenia LLC ("Padel Island", "we", "us", "our") operates padel courts in the Republic of Armenia and the website at www.padelisland.am, together with the court booking system at booking.padelisland.am, the second-hand gear marketplace.
Our registered address is 7 Ashtarak Highway, Yerevan, Armenia. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about it can be sent to info@padelisland.am.
2. Scope
This policy applies to everyone who visits our website, books a court, takes part in our tournaments, ladder or academy programmes, uses the marketplace, or contacts us. Third-party services that we link to (for example WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook) have their own privacy policies, which apply when you use them.
3. What Data We Collect
Court bookings and accounts. When you register on the booking system or book a court we collect your name, email address, phone number, booking history and your communication preferences. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we receive confirmation that a payment was made but we never see or store your full card number.
Tournaments, ladder and academy. When you register for a tournament, the ladder or a coaching programme we collect your name, contact details, playing level and your match results. Names, results and rankings are published on our website, in the app and on event boards as part of running the competition.
Marketplace. When you post a listing we collect your name, a contact (phone, email or WhatsApp), the listing text and up to three photos. Your name and listing are shown publicly; your contact is shared only with a buyer or bidder who commits to the item. When you buy or bid we collect your name and contact and share them with the seller so the two of you can complete the sale.
Website usage. We run our own, privacy-friendly page analytics. For each page view we record the page path, the referring website (domain only), device type, country, language and an anonymous visitor identifier that is a one-way hash which changes every day. Your IP address is used to generate that hash and to rate-limit abuse, but is never stored.
Security. Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyses browser signals to tell humans from bots. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Communications. When you email, call or message us we keep the correspondence so we can answer you and handle any follow-up.
4. Why We Use Your Data
We use personal data to:
- take, confirm, change and cancel court bookings and process payments (performance of a contract);
- run tournaments, the ladder and academy programmes, including publishing draws, results and rankings (performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in running competitions);
- operate the marketplace and connect buyers with sellers (performance of a contract);
- send booking confirmations, reminders and service messages (performance of a contract);
- send news about events, promotions and the community — only where you have signed up for them, and you can opt out at any time (consent);
- understand how the website is used so we can improve it (legitimate interest);
- prevent spam, fraud and abuse and keep our systems secure (legitimate interest);
- comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations in the Republic of Armenia (legal obligation).
5. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We store your chosen language in your browser's local storage so the site opens in that language next time. The booking system uses session cookies to keep you logged in. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie needed to verify that you are not a bot. You can clear or block these in your browser settings; some features may then stop working.
6. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with the providers we need to run our services, who may process it on our behalf:
- our court booking platform and payment provider;
- hosting, database and file-storage providers (Vercel and Supabase) that host the website, marketplace and analytics;
- Cloudflare, for bot protection on our forms;
- email and messaging providers we use to contact you;
- other players, where that is the point of the service — opponents and organisers see your name and results, and marketplace buyers and sellers see each other's contact details;
- authorities, where we are legally required to.
Some of these providers are located outside the Republic of Armenia, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that is the case we rely on their contractual data-protection commitments.
7. How Long We Keep Data
- Booking accounts: for as long as your account is active, then up to 12 months after your last booking unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Payment and invoicing records: for the period required by Armenian tax and accounting law.
- Tournament and ladder results: kept as part of the historical record of the competition. You can ask us to anonymise your entry.
- Marketplace listings: listings expire automatically after at most 90 days. Listing data, including seller and buyer contacts, is deleted within 30 days after expiry or sale.
- Website analytics: page-view records are anonymous and may be kept indefinitely in aggregated form.
- Correspondence: up to 24 months after our last contact.
8. Security
All traffic to our website is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the databases behind the marketplace and analytics is restricted to authorised staff using server-side credentials. Marketplace listings can only be edited through a private link sent to the seller. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your data has been compromised please contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
Under the data-protection law of the Republic of Armenia, and under the GDPR if you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, where we no longer need it for the purposes above;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent to marketing at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the Republic of Armenia (the Personal Data Protection Agency).
To exercise any of these rights, email info@padelisland.am. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
10. Children
Our booking system and marketplace are intended for adults. Players under 18 take part in our kids academy and junior events with the consent of a parent or guardian, who provides the child's details and remains our point of contact. If you believe a child has given us personal data without such consent, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be announced on our website or by email to registered players.
